Arsenal moved level on points with Premier League leaders Manchester City by beating Leicester on Saturday but it was far from straightforward.

Two of the goals scored by Mikel Arteta’s side came deep into added time.

The Gunners were boosted before kick-off in London by the news that title rivals Man City had dropped two points in a 1-1 draw at Newcastle.

That result prompted bookmakers to promote Arsenal to outright title favourites.

Indeed, Mikel Arteta’s side looked like title favourites during the first half and they took a deserved lead into the interval thanks to goals from Gabriel Martinelli and Leandro Trossard.

However, James Justin bagged a second-half brace for the resilient Foxes as Arsenal were made to sweat.

But Trossard found the net again deep into stoppage time to spare Arsenal’s blushes before Kai Havertz got a fourth on the counter attack in the ninth minute of added time.
