Cole Palmer has been the fourth-most productive forward in Europe’s top five leagues since joining Chelsea for £42.5million in summer last year.

The Chelsea ace has contributed 31 goals and 19 assists to the Chelsea cause for a combined total of 50.

It puts him ahead of stars such as Vinicius Jr, Robert Lewandowski, and team-mate Nicolas Jackson, and he has three players in his sights who he hopes to overtake.

Blues boss Enzo Maresca hailed Palmer as the ‘best player of the Premier League,’ and after four goals against Brighton, the world is his oyster.

However, Erling Haaland, Kylian Mbappe, and Harry Kane stand in his way – but in which order?

Cole Palmer has contributed 31 goals and 19 assists since joining Chelsea, the fourth-best record for a player in Europe’s to five leagues

Harry Kane leads with 51 goals and 15 assists though he remains trophyless at Bayern Munich

Kylian Mbappe settles for second with 48 goals and 11 assists for PSG and Real Madrid

Erling Haaland has scored 45 goals but comes third because he has only managed six assists

Well, City striker Haaland sits just one contribution ahead on 51.

The Norwegian has hit 45 goals and six assists since the start of last season. While he was the top scorer in the Premier League for a second season running with 27 goals, that was a dip from his debut campaign when he bagged a record 36.

Sitting second in the list is Mbappe with 59 goals and assists for PSG and Real Madrid.

The Frenchman tallies 48 goals and 11 assists, leaving little to the imagination as to why Los Blancos were so eager to secure his services.

However, the man with his nose clear by a considerable margin is Kane of Bayern Munich.

While the 31-year-old is yet to lift a trophy with the German giants, he has been formidable leading the line, smashing in 51 goals and registering 15 assists to tot up 66 in total.

Considering that Palmer missed out on European football last season, it is remarkable that he is up there competing with the best and it is to his credit that only Florian Wirtz of Bayer Leverkusen has as many assists in the top 10 players overall.

Mohamed Salah comes in fifth with 44 contributions (29 G, 15 A), while Lewandowski, Ollie Watkins, Wirtz, Vincius Jr, and Jonathan David of Lille round out the top 10.
