Brennan Johnson equals Harry Kane record as red-hot Tottenham star scores AGAIN for Ange Postecoglou’s side

Brennan Johnson has equalled a record set by Harry Kane as his incredible form in front of goal continued in Tottenham’s clash with Brighton.

After coming under fire from fans following Spurs’ defeat in the north London derby last month the 23-year-old has embarked on the prolific run of his career to date.

At the Amex on Sunday Johnson found himself through on goal after a sublime ball from Dominic Solanke and duly swept his strike beyond Bart Verbruggen to give the visitors the lead.

The goal means the Wales international has already beaten his tally from the entirety of his first season in north London.

Johnson has now scored in six consecutive games in all competitions for Ange Postecoglou’s side becoming the first player to achieve the feat since club legend Kane in January 2019.
