Chelsea maintained their perfect away record in this season’s Premier League by thrashing London rivals West Ham 3-0 on Saturday.
Nicolas Jackson netted twice inside the opening 18 minutes at the London Stadium before setting up Cole Palmer for Chelsea’s third goal early in the second half.
West Ham probably should have had a penalty at 2-0 when Wesley Fofana grabbed hold of Crysencio Summerville inside the 18-yard box just before the half-hour mark.
However, a VAR review saw the home team’s strong case rejected because Fofana’s alleged foul had apparently only been ‘fleeting’.
Chelsea have now taken nine points their first three Premier League away games of the Enzo Maresca era, having already won at Wolves and Bournemouth.
