Chelsea won 3-0 at West Ham in the first Premier League game of the weekend.

Nicolas Jackson got the Blues off to a flying start by scoring twice inside the opening 18 minutes.

Jackson then assisted Cole Palmer for Chelsea’s third goal early in the second half.

Dancing Jackson subbed before he can ‘Siu’

Nicolas Jackson had said he would do Cristiano Ronaldo’s ‘Siu’ celebration if he scored a hat-trick but he was taken off before he had the chance to add to his two goals.

He did, however, pull out some moves for his first, with the striker seemingly doing the ‘Thriller’ dance from the Michael Jackson song.

The striker’s 18-minute brace was the quickest by a Chelsea player in a Premier League match since Didier Drogba’s against Middlesborough in 2005.

Maresca emulates Guardiola

Enzo Maresca may want to rid himself of his ‘Diet Pep’ nickname.

However, he has managed to match the achievement of his previous boss by becoming the first man to win his first three away games in the Premier League since the Man City manager did it in 2016.

Top of the table… since May

Since the start of May, Chelsea have now won more Premier League points than any other side (25).

Sancho’s super start

Jadon Sancho averaged an assist every 600 minutes while he was playing for Manchester United, but he already has two in two games in a Chelsea shirt.

He also created the most chances of any player in the first half.

Hurry up Hammers

Slow starts are becoming a recurring theme for West Ham under Julen Lopetegui.

His side have conceded the first goal in four of their five league games this season.

West Ham have also conceded five goals in the opening five minutes of Premier League games in 2024, at least three more than any other side.
