Ilkay Gundogan scored his first goal since his return to Manchester City as the Premier League champions thrashed Slovan Bratislava 4-0.

Gundogan opened the floodgates in the 8th minute with a deflected strike.

Phil Foden doubled City’s advantage just seven minutes later as Pep Guardiola’s side threatened to run up the score.

However, Slovan Bratislava kept City at bay until the 58th minute when Erling Haaland scored his 11th goal of the season in all competitions.

James McAtee added a fourth for City with nearly 15 minutes to go as Guardiola’s side recorded their first Champions League win this season.
