Brighton 3-2 Tottenham: Brighton came back from the brink to secure all three points against Spurs on Sunday.

The visitors cruised into an early lead thanks to yet another goal from Brennan Johnson, who has now scored in six consecutive games for the club in all competitions.

James Maddison doubled Spurs’ lead later in the first half and it appeared that it would be smooth sailing on the South coast for Ange Postecoglou’s side from that point on.

However, after a languid first-half display Brighton returned from the half-time interval regenergised and Yankuba Minteh netted just minutes after the restart to give his side hope.

Fabian Hurzeler’s side seized the imitative from that point on and found themselves back on level terms before the hour mark through Georginio Rutter.

After appearing so comfortable throughout the first 45 minutes Spurs were now firmly on the back foot and Danny Welbeck heaped on the misery to give the hosts the lead.
