A former team-mate of Johan Neeskens is in intensive care just days after his former colleague’s death.

Barcelona and Ajax legend Neeskens has died at the age of 73, with his passing announced on Tuesday in a Dutch FA statement that read how the death was ‘unexpected’ and wished his family well.

The former midfielder is widely regarded as one of the greatest footballers of the 20th century after playing a vital role for the likes of Barcelona, Ajax and the Netherlands.

Now, John Rep, is reported to be in intensive care by AD, and he is said to be set to receive a pacemaker this week.
